Hello Treasure Hunters! This week in The Corner Shoppe you will find new items to pursue and purchase! We just received this HUGELY fabulous oil painting! It is a meticulously hand painted artist copy of an old master and it measures 50×54! The original owner purchased this lovely decorator item at The Merchandise Mart, paying $3500 new.

Speaking of works of art, don’t miss your opportunity to purchase the finely crafted Georg Jensen dove pin! The mark is circa 1933-1940 (GJ) and it has the old style pin clasp. We have had the same pin from a more recent time frame and it did not have nearly the same detail, appearance or the lovely patina!

The below pictured 7-8mm necklace and pierced earring cultured pearl set is by Visanti. It has a very white lustre. The necklace is 16″ and the earrings are one pearl each.

Below you will find a photo of a very lovely vintage cameo in a gold filled frame! It is probably from circa 1900-1930 and is Italian in origin.

Beautiful 19th c. Pastoral Oil Painting by Henri De Buel, Belgium

Hello Treasure Hunters! This week at The Corner Shoppe we feature this fabulous 19th c. oil painting of a pastoral scene by H. De Buel of Belgium. He is a listed artist and well known for his sheep. It is under glass and in the original frame. Priced at $2,500!
Don’t forget that we are a wonderful place to shop for art and listed artists! Other pieces we currently have is the 1930s Bucks County Pennsylvannia Covered Bridge oil by listed artist A. Sheldon Pennoyer, a wonderful oil of nudes (appears to be signed under the frame), a 19th c. chromolithograph on canvas paper portraying Adam and Eve, a hand colored engraving form Harper’s Weekly and other great pieces of work!

Hello Treasure Hunters! This week you will find us bursting at the seams with new finds of all kinds! We just brought in the estate of the daughter of a buyer for Marshall Field’s Antique Section! Absolutely fabulous pieces that will surely sell quickly! In addition we have 2 Vanguard sofas and a Vanguard ottoman, 2 Eastlake beds,china cabinets, desks. occasional chairs and lots of holiday decor to make your home extra cozy and cheerful! We also received a very large and lovely Lladro piece, silver plate serving pieces for your entertaining needs and more! You will find that there is a large assortment of new goodies so you will not want to miss out. Shop early and shop often! Don’t let the goodies get away!

This week in the Corner Shoppe you will find our entire front window area devoted to Mid-Century Modern items from knick-knacks to furniture!
We are featuring a dining table and chair set, buffet/credenza, sofa and chairs all designed by Kipp Stewart for the Declaration line of the late 1950’s by Drexel. These are really great pieces. We especially love the details on the chairs.

The sofa and chairs have all been reupholstered. The owner chose the fabrics to keep in the spirit of the era.

The other credenza, by Dillingsworth is a beautiful piece of teak. And the china cabinet has great lines also, it comes from the same home as the Drexel items.

Speaking of mid-century items, there is a great executive desk in oak veneer made at the Chicago Central Desk Company in 1941. Great for your computer set set up and would look like a million in your mid-century home!

Hello Treasure Hunters! This week in The Corner Shoppe we are offering great high quality goods at yummy prices! Come in soon as our items are quickly selling!

We had a wonderful Lane Morris chair recliner- sold in 3 hours; a fabulous pair of c. 1870s/80’s French ormolu, bronze and marble candelabra sold before it hit the floor, Lalique pieces and Baccarat pieces sold within one week, as are tables, chairs and pictures.

But even though all these items sold rapidly there are many more similar items for you to choose from! Wait until you see the fabulous Royal Crown Derby Imari bowl, or the Lalique doves, the Lenox Harvest china, the Greenbrier sterling service for 12 and more high quality items! Heres hoping you are a stalwart fan of The Corner Shoppe and come in often so you don’t miss these and other great items.

Hello Treasure Hunters! I hope you have had a fun weekend scouting for new bargains. You will definitely want to come and check out our new Clearance corner!
There are lots of good bargains there!
We have gotten some great things in the shoppe I am really excited that we have consigned a lovely Maxfield Parrish print form 1929 in its original frame! Titled “Ecstasy” this is a really hard print to find unless you are looking for reproductions.

We received two lovely sets of china. Great English sets. Take a look at the very pretty and very reasonable cedar chest that cam e in a couple of days ago, and the other fabulous items both here previously and new to the store!. A fresh estate is in and furniture and smalls are flying out the door! We have some great new items in The Corner Shoppe this week! Lots of items went out the door in our recent sale making room for lots of items to come in. And we have already had a lot of our new items sell, even before we could tell our fellow treasure hunters about them! So, if you are interested in quality items and a quality price You may want to stop by soon!
We have expanded our hours at the shop…open every day from Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am – 6 pm BUT we have ALSO EXTENDED our evening hours to 8 pm Thursday and Friday.
Some of the awesome new buys that you will find in The Corner Shoppe this week include oodles of jewelry just in time for the holidays, a buffet of man made stone and metal work. Just gorgeous, heavy in weight and style! A beautiful china cabinet with stained and leaded glass panels in the center, a sweet childs cupboard from the 1910s-1920s, a pair of bar stools crafted of metal with a ground finish that put forth a commanding artistic front and more! We took in a beautiful Drexel mahogany china cabinet and a nine drawer kneehole desk only to see them sell this week also! We are expecting a complete Duncan Phyfe dining room set on Monday…and have more furniture due to come in at any time.

There have at last been a few cooler days and there are a lot more treasure hunters out and about. We hope to see your smiling face in The Corner Shoppe one day soon!

Hello Fellow Treasure Hunters!

Looked what walked in the door this Monday! A rare vintage Edison “Gem” Phonograph with 10 cylinders and believe us when we say it is a true Gem and we love the antique Oak case! This week we have some really unusual vintage desk items including the 2 brass inkwells pictured below. The 411 on the furniture is a small sofa table, a Thomasville Cherry Dining room table with 6 chairs and a large library table which would be a fabulous computer desk. And speaking of computer desk, in the shop for our “back to school” group is this Hooker computer desk with all the bells and whistles. And finally, if your name is MacDuff, Stewart or McGregor, the vintage prints with the tartan are to die for! We hope you will stop by for a visit!
